I had a 45 minute assessment with Steve which highlighted the fact that my swing could be improved!! It was a fascinating analysis of how my body moved, weight distribution, and club head angles.

My first lesson concentrated on my initial body movement - hips and shoulders - and trying to get me to do what I should. After 45 minutes of practice and a lot of sweating, I seemed to get it right so that I was hitting the ball cleanly.

The proof of the pudding of course is out playing golf! I had a couple of mediocre games and a really bad one, but I persisted in trying to get those hips and shoulders moving as they should. I then got a 36 pointer. Since then I've played pretty well with a 41 pointer a 38. I'm generally hitting straighter and in the right direction, and taking a divot after the ball. All good news, but I still need to be more reliable so Steve still has a fair bit of work to do with me.

I like the technology available to show what I'm doing and the review that Steve provides after the lesson. I would recommend Steve to anybody struggling with their golf as I was.

I have had a course of lessons with Steve since starting to play again more frequently. He very quickly highlighted a couple of key areas to focus on, there was no "paralysis by analysis" here. Focusing on one or two swing faults, with the back-up of all the modern teaching technology, and video playback helped me immensely.
What is also very important is the ability to get the information over to the player, and Steve has the communication skills to pitch it at the right level. If you want to know about launch angles and spin rates, he has that info to hand. If you want a slightly simplified version he can adapt to suit.
Overall a very positive experience which has me looking forward to our next lesson and hopefully some time out on course to address my short game!
Thanks Steve, keep up the great work.
